We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Audit Manager to lead our internal audit projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our financial operations, compliance with industry regulations, and the ongoing improvement of our processes and controls. This role is integral in driving risk management and safeguarding the company’s assets.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead the internal audit function for the Division, developing and executing a risk-based audit plan in line with the company’s strategic objectives.
• Assess and improve the effectiveness of the company’s internal control environment, operational processes, and financial reporting systems.
• Evaluate compliance with corporate policies, regulations, and governance standards.
• Identify potential areas of risk and provide strategic recommendations for mitigation.
• Prepared and presented comprehensive audit reports to senior management and the board, highlighting key findings and action plans.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of internal auditors to ensure consistent high performance and professional development.
• Stay updated on emerging industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in audit and risk management.
   

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Must have retail industry experience.
• A professional designation such as CA(SA), CIA, or equivalent.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in internal or external auditing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role, within the Retail sector.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and relevant compliance frameworks.
• Proven ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
• Retail industry experience is a must.
