Job description
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Asssistant and Driver to assist with the day to day running of of our Warehouse. Not limted to: Inventory, stock count, driving duties.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Load and unload raw materials, components, and supplies onto machines and equipment
• Operate machinery and equipment, following safety guidelines to ensure smooth production
• Inspect product output to ensure quality and identify defects
• Package finished products for shipment
• Clean and maintain machinery, equipment, and work areas, adhering to safety regulations
• Assist in the assembly line, putting together parts of a product
• Follow production instructions of the supervisor to ensure that production deadlines are met
• Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures
• Performing physical tasks that require strength, such as lifting heavy items
• Assembling goods on a production line
• Following health and safety standards to maintain a safe work environment
• Keeping work areas clean and tidy
• Conducting quality checks on finished products
• Code 8/10 Drivers license with PDP- To assist with deliveries/collections when the need arises
• Forklift license advantageous.
• Must be computer literate- as additional cover for admin duties
• Pick and pack customer orders
• Pack finished goods onto warehouse racking
• Book courier collections
• Record data on spreadsheets/logs
• Receive finished goods from production
Desired Experience & Qualification
• Grade 12 or NQF level 4 is essential
• NQF level 5 advantageous
• 3 – 5 years Warehouse/stock count/Inventory experience
• Valid drivers license and PDP
